Just been reading the Blog About Your Blog post about a roundup of current blogging contests and thought that I should enter some of these and share them with you guys and girls.

National Lottery Competition

Because there has been literally no entries at all to either of my two competitions. I am going to offer the first person who enters a free lucky dip to the main Lotto draw on 21 June 2008.

So to re-iterate, the first person who counts themselves into the competition will automatically win a lucky dip ticket for the main Lotto draw on 21 June 2008.

Hopefully that will get one person entering, and a stream of entrants after that

Win £10 Worth of National Lottery Tickets

After posting a brand new competition on my other blog, Buy Me A Ferrari, I thought it was only right I had another competition for the readers of FerrariDave.

Taking a similar sort of prize idea used on Buy Me A Ferrari, on FerrariDave I am going to give away £10 worth of National Lottery tickets. I have also decided to give away 2 seperate runners-up prizes of 1 lucky dip for the main lottery draw including one entry for the Dream Number draw.

Again, as I mentioned on my other blog, this competition has the potential to be worth a whole load more than the £10 face value, depending on whether or not the tickets win much money. This also means it could be worth absolutely nothing if none of the tickets win anything - you’ve gotta be in it to win it though!

If you would like to be in with a chance of winning this great prize, you can do all/one of the following to gain entries:

• Comment on this blog post and drop me an email to compjun08@ferraridave.com - your email address will only be used for the prize draw and no other correspondence (2 Entries - this task must be done)

Can I enter outside of the United Kingdom?

You also may be wondering whether or not you can enter if you are in the United States or other country. Yes, of course you can, all that will happen is I will purchase the tickets and if they win I will claim the money for you and Paypal the money across to you.

How will the prize draw take place?

At the End of July 2008 (the 31st to be precise), I will have compiled a list of entrants and given each entry an individual number. I will then get the random.org integer generator to give me the winner of the lottery tickets. The draw itself will be videoed and posted onto FerrariDave.

What happens if I am selected as the winner?

You get to choose which lottery draws you would like to enter (I will only be purchasing lucky dips) and I will go out and purchase the lottery tickets that you have requested. I will then send out the lottery tickets to the winner’s address. This will not be the case for international entrants, you will be emailed the numbers and the draws that you have been entered into before the draws take place.

Entrecard Competition Winner

First of all, just a little note to say that I apologise for the lack of posts on this blog but I have had a few things that have made me busier than I’d first thought they would.

Yesterday, I passed my driving test first time with only 4 minor faults - so I’m still pretty damn happy

Anyways, let’s get onto the Entrecard competition that ended yesterday - all in all there has been a total of 67 entries and I am now going to use random.org to give me a winner out of the 67 entries.

And the winning number it gave me back can be seen in the following screenshot:

Tyler Cruz vs Winning The Web

Some of you may or may not be aware that Tyler Cruz and Winning The Web have started a contest between each other to see who can receive the most votes.

There is also a huge incentive to those who decide to vote for one blog or another, here’s the incentives for those who vote:

• The loser of the contest will have to pay $100 to three of the voters
• Tyler Cruz is offering 150 Entrecard Credits to his voters
• Winning The Web is offering a free t-shirt to their first 50 voters

I have decided that I am going to vote for Winning The Web. This is purely down to the fact that out of the two Winning The Web is the only blog I am subscribed to. I like the way Winning The Web writes their blog posts, they are always really interesting to read, as a fellow blogger.

According to Winning The Web, they are currently winning with 30 votes to 11. Now, this does mean that I have a better chance of winning as the loser pays $100 to three of those who voted for the winner. But, if the tables were turned and Tyler was winning, I would have still voted for Winning The Web as I do prefer their blog over Tyler’s.

Last of all, I’d really like one of those Winning The Web shirts as they look nice and are in a pretty good colour by the looks of things

I Won A Book

A little while back I entered a competition over at Million Dollar Portfolio to win a signed copy of An American Hedge Fund: How I Made $2 Million as a Stock Operator & Created a Hedge Fund.

Went back on their website today and this post tells me that I am a winner

Should be an interesting read as I’ve never read anything like this before and the reviews on Amazon are, how can I put it, a little mixed!

Once I have read it, I plan to give it away again on this blog as I think it would be cool to keep giving it away hopefully this can continue.

As there is a large amount of people now actively using Entrecard and reaping the benefits of having the widget on their blog, I have decided to give away 500 Entrecard credits to one lucky winner.
