New Competition Blog!
Quite some time ago on FerrariDave, I posted about how I had some ideas for new blog niches that I wanted to explore. Well, just the other day I got round to finally starting one of the niches I was interested in.
I finally started the brand new competition blog Comper Blog!
This blog will have information about competitions from all over the internet, specifically dealing with the best of the free-to-enter competitions on the internet.
Please pay my other site a visit and see what you think, maybe you can win something!
Why I Removed Ads
As some of the regulars may notice, I have taken both Google AdSense and the Entrecard widget from the sidebar of the blog.
I have done this because I want to keep this blog as a personal blog where I share ideas of what I am doing on the internet and also to link to changes and other interesting stuff from my other blogs.
This is the reason why I have taken the ads down as to be honest, they were generating the odd few clicks here and there but I’d much rather have my personal blog ad-free for the time being and continue to update it about what I am doing on the internet.
This leads to the question;
Why did you change your theme too?
Well, I actually wasn’t intending on changing the theme but when I attempted to remove the widgets from the sidebar they wouldn’t disappear so I changed the theme and hey presto!
I like the new theme anyways
One last issue to raise and resolve is the question of;
Will there ever be ads on FerrariDave?
Never say never. However, at the moment there will definitely be no ad widgets within the sidebar of FerrariDave – if I am reviewing a particular product (ebooks etc.) that I have previously purchased then I might have an affiliate link within the post but other than that there will be no ads.
Coming Soon..
In this blog post I just basically wanted to get some ideas down about some different sites (mainly blogs right now) that I am going to be starting very soon.
I will be blogging on here when I update each of the sites and also when the site is released fully. Below is some details on each of the sites I am planning on starting soon.
Technology Blog
Yes, I am well aware that the technology blogging genre is pretty crowded at the moment and it probably will be quite difficult to get into the market at all as a new start up. However, as I love talking about and using technology, I thought it was only right that I had my own blog on it where I could publish my own views.
The blog itself will also hopefully be host to latest technology news (with my take on it), technology reviews and other interesting stuff.
Time will tell as to whether this will be a success at all, I’m giving it a good go regardless!
Comping blog
Comping is a word used to describe the art of entering competitions, something which I like to do on a regular basis, hell, it’s great getting stuff for free!
The blog itself will talk about different sites to find competitions and also different types of competitions available. The blog itself is pretty specific and I do not know immediately a blog dedicated to competition entering. The blog will host its own competitions and also feature more interesting competitions I find during my own competition entering.
Adult blog
Now, I’d rather not go into a great deal of detail about this particular site on this blog as I don’t feel it immediately appropriate talking about adult sites in great detail on my personal blog.
All I will say on the subject is that this blog will be talking about different adult sites on the internet and also be bringing some of the best free stuff to its readers.
I can confirm you will never ever see a link to my adult blog posted on this blog, guaranteed as I would prefer to keep this blog completely separate from any graphically adult material.
And the above just about sums up what I have in mind at the moment, I am getting started now on one of these and whenever there is any updates on them they will be posted on here.
Naughty Registration Plates
I have been a fan of personalised number plates for some time now, with the plan to buy a few of them to go on my several cars once I become a millionaire (hey, who says I cant dream haha).
I often have a look on RegTransfers to have a look see what’s available for my name/initials etc. and also to have a little dream about plates such as:

Which, when I last checked was going for in excess of £300,000 ($491,000). Now, will I buy a new house or a number plate… hmm…
When I have been browsing the RegTransfers website, I came across a section that they call Naughty Plate, where there is a large selection of number plates that could be perceived as being naughty. I have picked out some of the best ones in my opinion and detailed them in this post.
My iPhone Apps: Facebook

Now that the majority of us are now on Facebook or one of the other similar social networking sites, it was inevitable that there would most certainly be an iPhone app created to access the site while you are on the move.
I of course am on Facebook, hence why I have the app on my iPhone.
Facebook on the iPhone is particularly useful for me as not only does it allow me to quickly update my status or post a new photo quickly, but I can also do the following:
-
Check new friend status updates
-
Read any notifications that I have
-
Act on friend requests
-
Read inbox messages and reply to them
Basically everything that you can do accessing your Facebook at home on your computer, you can do on the iPhone application. Which is pretty impressive as Facebook on different mobile phone platforms tends to be a more basic version with limited functionality.
I more often than not use Facebook on my iPhone to access different friends’ profiles whilst on the go. I find this particularly handy when certain situations arise when I am out with friends. For example if a certain person (who is not with us at the time) was to come up in conversation and someone has seen something on their Facebook or has some rumour on that person, this can be quickly verified by checking up on their Facebook.
The same applies if someone in the conversation doesn’t know a particular person that we are talking about, a quick search on Facebook can bring up an image of this person. This could mean that the other person involved in the conversation may recognise the person we are talking about once they have seen a photo of them.
All in all, the Facebook app for the iPhone has pretty much everything you would need from Facebook while you are on the move, as I have said, the app has nearly everything that you can access by visiting Facebook on your home computer.
My iPhone Apps
Since purchasing my iPhone 3G about 12 months ago, it has become one of my most used pieces of technology.
I have always used my mobile phones a lot for sending silly amounts of text messages to my friends, however, the iPhone now means that I do a lot more than just text on my phone and thus probably wastes more of my time – some of this time spent on my phone though is productive, as you will find out through some of the stuff I have installed.
‘Apps’ as Apple call them (as I’m sure most of you are aware), are small pieces of software that runs on your iPhone and allows you to do a numerous amount of different tasks such as play games, listen to radio, make to-do lists and much, much more!
However, downloading apps can be very addictive, with there being so many different apps on the market, there is something for everyone and everyone seems to have to have a huge selection of apps installed on their iPhone. With new apps being released every day, there is so much to choose from.
In this series of blog posts, I will be detailing all of the different apps I have on my iPhone at the moment and also the very reasons why I have them. This series should never run out as I have five pages of apps on my phone right now and I get more every week.
The first in the series is the Facebook app for iPhone, this will be posted very soon after this blog post.
Michael Owen sells £150,000 Ferrari

Premiership footballer Michael Owen must be feeling the pinch like the majority of us as it has been revealed by the Evening Chronicle that he is to sell his Ferrari.
Former Newcastle United star has just finished his contract with the Magpies and is now in talks with Manchester United, however, he has obviously realised that his next contract isn’t going to be quite so lucrative.
The Ferrari 599 is currently up for sale on Auto Trader for a price of £150,000. The description on Auto Trader from Lawton Brook Ltd. states that the car was previously owned by ‘an A List celebrity’.
Making Money Online
As I said in the first blog post of this new blog, I am seriously looking to start some websites at the moment and do some stuff with affiliate marketing and such like.
I’m pretty much open to give anything a try when it comes to making money online as this is what I’d really love to do. The first thing I have signed up for is Certified Cash Club.
Now, I’m usually pretty sceptical when it comes to purchasing eBooks and other similar sort of step by step guides from websites, however, I did a bit of research on this particular eBook and the reviews I have been reading around the internet suggest that this is a great guide.
The thing that swung the decision for me though was the 60 day guarantee – If you don’t make thousands in 60 days, you get your money back!!
I thought that was pretty impressive considering it is a low price to purchase to start with, and if the eBook itself has pretty much no risk, what have I got to lose?
As I am just beginning to read this now, I can’t really comment yet, but as I progress through the eBook I will be updating this blog on how it is going. Can’t wait? Why not download it yourself, risk free:
Wii and WiiFit
The 28th of June was my Mam’s birthday and as it was her 40th birthday I thought it was only right that I bought her something special to mark the occasion. However, I had pretty much no idea what to get her.
Whilst browsing about the shops, I decided that I would buy her a Nintendo Wii for her birthday, something with she has been thinking about buying for some time now. In the end, I ended up spending a bit more and buying a package deal that included WiiFit.
Now I’ve never ever had an urge to go out and buy the Wii and WiiFit as I never truly believed that it would be worth purchasing, and never imagined the gameplay and fitness software to be that good.
I was wrong.
After playing on it a few times today, I can confirm that some of the stuff on there is quite challenging and also fun at the same time.
I can’t imagine anyone getting super fit using the WiiFit, but I would think that the average person could lose a little bit weight using the system. Especially those that barely exercise before using the Wii as the WiiFit has fun built into exercising, making the tasks much more enjoyable, rather than a chore.
So all in all, well done to the guys at Nintendo, my Mam is happy and I’m impressed
